Avalon Boutique Hotel Rhodes
Avalon is the best match for the intimate, cultured mood of the sailing journey. Set in a restored 14th-century mansion inside the Medieval City, its six suites and peaceful courtyard place the group close to the Palace of the Grand Master and the Street of the Knights.

Day-by-Day Journey
August 20: Arrive in Rhodes
Transfer to the Medieval City and settle into the recommended boutique hotel. Ease into the journey with a courtyard drink and dinner in the Old Town. Hotel, transfer and dinner are not included in the charter price.
August 21: Rhodes at Your Own Pace
Explore the Palace of the Grand Master, the Street of the Knights and local museums, then continue to Mandraki Harbour or the beach. Finish with a relaxed taverna evening.
August 22: Charter Day 1, Embark in Mandraki
Enjoy a final Rhodes morning before embarking from 5:00 p.m. Meet Laurent, receive the captain’s briefing, settle into the yacht and review provisions. Spend the night onboard in Rhodes Marina, with time to explore or dine ashore.
August 23: Charter Day 2, Rhodes to St George Bay, Symi
After breakfast and a sea-safety briefing, sail approximately three hours to the dramatic cliffs and turquoise water of St George Bay. Swim, snorkel, visit the small beach and hidden chapel, then dine onboard beneath the stars.
August 24: Charter Day 3, Secret Bay and Symi Old Harbour
Begin with a morning swim and breakfast. Sail to a secluded bay with a monastery for hiking, snorkeling and lunch, then continue to Symi’s colorful neoclassical harbour. Explore its lanes and sponge-diving heritage before an optional taverna dinner.
August 25: Charter Day 4, Symi to Nisyros via Tilos
Leave Symi for a quiet northern Tilos hideaway, with time to swim, snorkel and have lunch onboard. Continue to Nisyros and wander Mandraki before dinner onboard or ashore. Wildlife may be seen but is never guaranteed.
August 26: Charter Day 5, Nisyros Volcano and Tilos
Explore Nisyros’ hydrothermal craters and the village of Nikia. Return to the yacht for the sail to Tilos and moor in Livadia. After dinner, an optional local shuttle may visit Mikro Chorio’s atmospheric seasonal bar.
August 27: Charter Day 6, Alimia and Halki
Sail to uninhabited Alimia for swimming, snorkeling and an exploration of its wartime history. After lunch, continue to Halki for a stroll through colorful Nimborio and a sunset taverna or onboard dinner.
August 28: Charter Day 7, Halki to Rhodes
Sail toward a secluded islet or hideaway for white-sand swimming and lunch onboard. Continue along Rhodes’ northern coast for a final swim and return to the marina. Celebrate with an optional farewell dinner and night out.
August 29: Charter Day 8, Disembark in Rhodes
Share a final breakfast, pack and disembark in Rhodes. Continue to the airport, a hotel or the next Greek-island extension according to the final travel plan.

Meet Laurent
Laurent Messarra brings an unusual blend of design, humanitarian service and outdoor adventure to the helm. Trained as an architect and fine artist, he also worked in photography, volunteered with UNICEF’s Education for Peace program and the Order of Malta, founded one of the Middle East’s early paragliding schools and pursued rafting and expedition travel. Sailing eventually brought those interests together. After earning his Yachtmaster qualification, he organized cruises around the world, joined transatlantic rallies and founded SailTogether.com.
Know Before You Go

- Swimming, snorkeling, paddling and shore visits are optional and subject to conditions and skipper approval.
- Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and quoted separately.

The itinerary is planned, not guaranteed. Weather, sea conditions, port availability and the skipper’s judgment may change sailing times, anchorages or island stops. Some secluded bay names are intentionally omitted by the operator to protect sensitive locations. Marmaris is not part of the confirmed day-by-day route.
